The Broadmoor’s Soaring Adventure at Seven Falls
OR Visit the falls themselves w/o the adventure park!
For more than 130 years, Seven Falls has been a captivating attraction that draws visitors from all over the world to view its mighty crashing waters as they spill down from its stunning granite walls. Even to journey to the falls is a treat — affectionately known as “the grandest mile of scenery”, the approach to Seven Falls is surrounded on every side by Colorado’s mountain beauty making you feel like you’ve stumbled upon a very special secret. The natural box canyon that creates the falls’ breathtaking drop is flanked by the Pillars of Hercules, which rise nearly 900 feet above the ground, welcoming you to adventure.
Getting to Seven Falls is made simple for everyone by the fast and frequent shuttle (no traffic!). Park near the Broadmoor and ride the free shuttle to the gate. (Yes! Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome, too!)
Thrill seekers who visit Seven Falls won’t just find visual excitement, there is much more fun to be had! For hikers, two unique trails offer you different views of the falls, with both a long (1 hour) and short (30 minutes) option. If you don’t want to stray too far from the falls, you can get your steps in on the 224-step stairway along the falls.
The more laid back, retail-minded folks will find souvenirs, snacks and other fine items to commemorate the trip at the Seven Falls Gift Shop. Or, if you’re more into all that glitters, you can find treasures of the more sparkly sort at Rockhounds at the Eagles Nest, where two gemologists offer minerals and fossils collected from all over the world.
And everyone should be sure to take the elevator to the Eagle’s Nest across from the falls. Any photos from this vantage point are sure to make you #Instafamous.
Take a moment to catch your breath on the patio of Restaurant 1858, overseen by the award-winning chefs of the Broadmoor. Enjoy Colorado cuisine like wood-grilled steak and trout. (Reservations recommended.) You can also try their food at the 1858 food truck, which has a top-notch seasonal menu of easy-to-eat meals that will fill you up for more fun.
